What are options to preserve part of my existing porch?
First, we figure out the end goals for the reconstruction, asking questions about how you plan to use the space, what you like and want to keep, and what you want to change or gain.
From there we thoroughly evaluate the condition of the existing construction and create a plan for repair, reinforcement, and adaptation to your new goals.
We then create a design to accomplish these goals as well as tie into the existing design functionally, aesthetically, and efficiently.
We conclude the process with secure attachment and any necessary remodeling of the existing construction to give a singular, seamlessly integrated finished product.
How can an outdoor space be designed for year-round gatherings?
Triangle Tradesmen offers an array of products that can create flexible spaces for year-round use.
An overhead heater can be installed in your covered or screened porch to preserve the open-air feel and remaining a usable space on all but the coldest or windiest of days.
For greater protection against wind, bugs, and pollen, we can install clear vinyl or single pane glass enclosures from Porch Conversions or SummerSpace. The can be opened up and easily converted into more open screened porches when the conditions are right.
We also install CGI and Marvin windows for a fully climate controlled enclosure, offering conditioned spaces with a view for year-round use, and easily opened up for a fresh air outdoor feel.
What’s the best solution for an existing porch that shows structural damage?
First, you want a truly expert opinion to determine the full extent of the damage. We consider not only what we can see on the surface, but potentially hidden damages that can cause additional costs after work has begun.
We devise a thorough repair plan to address the known and potential damages. These are based on extensive experience with many similar projects successfully repaired.
Projects can include an evaluation of repair versus rebuild. While we don’t try to sell more work than what’s needed, we will offer recommendations based on your specific needs.
We will then discuss your options in detail and move forward with the repair plan, preserving what can be saved and rebuilding as needed to meet and exceed the standards of the original structure.
